Product Overview

The 632487R is an OEM negative-pressure SPST switch designed for Nordyne HVAC systems. It monitors inducer draft by sensing vacuum and interrupts the control circuit if the required pressure differential is not achieved, safeguarding safe combustion and system operation.

Technician Notes

1. De-energize all power sources; lock out/tag out per safety procedures.

2. Remove the access panel and locate the pressure switch on the inducer housing.

3. Photograph or label vacuum tubing and electrical leads to preserve correct connections.

4. Detach the vacuum hose from the switch port and remove mounting screws.

5. Mount the new 632487R in the same orientation; secure with screws, then reconnect the vacuum hose.

6. Reattach wiring to the corresponding screw terminals, ensuring tight, corrosion-free connections.

7. Restore power; the switch should close when the inducer reaches its –0.90 WC setpoint.

8. If the switch fails to actuate, inspect the inducer motor, venting path, and tubing for leaks or blockages.
