Compatibility
-
Nordyne, Nordyne Miller, Intertherm, Amana, Ducane, and Concord gas furnaces originally equipped with an auto-reset limit control at 180/140 °F
-
Private-label units using the L180-40F specification
-
Always verify your equipment’s data-plate temperature limits and control-board layout before ordering
Technician Notes
-
De-energize power and shut off gas supply before servicing.
-
Remove the furnace access panel to expose the existing limit switch.
-
Photograph or label each quick-connect terminal to preserve wiring orientation.
-
Depress the mounting clip to release the old switch and pull off spade connectors.
-
Snap the new 626614 switch into place and reconnect spade terminals onto its lugs.
-
Restore power and run a heat call; confirm blower de-energizes near 180 °F and re-energizes near 140 °F.
-
Use an infrared thermometer or surface-probe sensor to verify accurate trip/reset points and inspect for airflow obstructions that could cause false trips.
