GENERIC MOTOR INFO: Nothing beats installing an original (OEM) blower motor in your unit. But due to the unavailablity of older motors or the high price of OEM motors, installing an original may not be feesible. Refering to the motors on this page as 'generic' isn't really appropriate as these are all brand-name motors built to high standards for long life.
Installing: When installing a generic motor, wires and plugs probably won't match your existing set-up. Plugs may be different and wires may be of a different color and quantity. New Molex plugs can be ordered here.
As for wires, you need to study the wiring diagram for the motor and the furnace. If you are not sure how to properly wire the motor or do any of the tasks needed to repair your unit, please seek the help of a qualified technician. We are not responsible or liable for any damage done by an unlicensed person.
Warranty: We carry a 1-year replacement warranty on all our parts. If you received a part but do not install it, then you may return it within 30 days for a full refund. Returns after 30 days may be subject to a restocking charge. Items installed cannot be returned for cash.
Mounting: Motors are best mounted using existing hardware from your unit. If hardware is worn, damaged or unavailable, then available hardware, such as belly bands, should be purchased and used. Again, OEM mounting hardware is preferred, but generics are available. Be sure to explore the mounting options before purchasing any motor.
Other Notes: All motors are brand new and not rebuilt. Lengths stated in the description do not include the resilient rings at both ends of some motors (used for base mounting). In the description, HP means horse power. RPM means revolutions per minute. A means amps. V means volts. " means inches. All shafts include a flat side. Blower motors are open (vented), condenser motors are sealed (no vents).
