Technician Notes

  1. De-energize all power sources and shut off gas/heat supply.

  2. Remove furnace access panels; photograph existing wiring and bracket orientation.

  3. Label each wire and disconnect the old blower pigtail.

  4. Unbolt the mounting bracket and slide out the old assembly.

  5. Inspect the blower wheel and housing for debris; clean the compartment if necessary.

  6. Install the new assembly, ensuring the wheel clears adjacent components.

  7. Secure mounting bolts to OEM torque specifications.

  8. Reconnect wiring per your photo or tags and restore power and gas.

  9. Call for cooling (or heat) and verify smooth blower operation, correct speeds, and absence of abnormal noise.

If adding air conditioning to an M1 furnace that isn't A/C ready, you will need to replace your 1-speed blower assembly (903409, 903410, 903411 or 903412) with this 903773, unless you are adding a 5-ton air conditioner then you will need to purchase a 903890 assembly. Red wire is low, blue is medium, black is high, brown wires lead to capacitor Even if using the furnace for heat-only and need to replace the blower assembly, Cap the speed wires not used. updating to this 3-speed blower assembly would be fine and less expensive.
